Help and hope – because children are our future

The help and hope foundation was founded in 2005 and is a charitable organisation based in Bönen. In line with our motto “Because children are our future”, the help and hope foundation aims to give disadvantaged children and young people a chance of a better future.

Through various different projects, the help and hope foundation has set itself the task of combatting child poverty in Germany, and encouraging and supporting disadvantaged young people in their training and further education. Thanks to the financial help we receive in the form of donations from numerous foundation partners, we have been able to implement a wide range of funding projects. These funding projects are based on the principle of the foundation’s three core elements - support, education and employment. These three areas are linked and should therefore contribute to a better future for disadvantaged children and young people. For supporting and implementing its funding projects, help and hope is supported by numerous volunteers.

One of help and hope’s special projects is the Gut Königsmühle in Dortmund. A farm is being developed with a variety of different animals, which will be used as a place of well-being for children and young people. There, as part of a range of nature and animal-related activities on offer, children and young people will be able to look after the animals, spend time with them and experience nature close up.
